Pavement Maintenance Asphalt Crack Sealing
Asphalt pavements such as roads, parking lots, taxiways, runways and driveways endure an enormous amount of stress and strain. Vehicle tires continually push and pull at paved surfaces, and weather is a factor with temperature changes and inclement conditions. Traffic and weather work together to create small surface cracks. As these cracks grow and are left untreated, water seeps through to the base and weakens the roadway structure. More cracks form and become wider, eventually forming potholes if not repaired. Roads that are not crack sealed deteriorate much faster than treated roads.
Crack sealing is an inexpensive routine maintenance treatment that will significantly delay pavement deterioration. Flexible, rubberized asphalt sealants bond to crack walls and move with the pavement, preventing water from entering. With crack sealing, the lifespan of the pavement is extended and the maintenance costs are greatly reduced over time.

Hot Applied Crack Sealing

Cold Applied Emulsified
Crack Sealing For our clients who are responsible for the primary and secondary road systems here in Canada, we offer a high volume, cost effective way of maintaining asphalt roadways by using high float, emulsified crack sealing. This service is retained by major highways maintenance contractors and highway owners such as the Ministry of Transportation or various cities and towns that have older roads in need of repair. It is an effective way of crack filling on roadways that are cracked beyond the use of a hot applied rubber, yet not ready to be capped or re-paved. It is also used very effectively in conjunction with chip seal or seal coat projects.
